From 1455 until 1487 the rival houses of Lancaster, with a badge of a red rose, and York, with the badge of a white rose, fought a series of battles known as “The War of the Roses”

Maddie, Met, MidTown, Magnolia, Metamorphosis

So several Sunday's ago (2? 3? I can't remember) was another NYC filled day!!

We had a show to go to around 3:00, but my friend Maddie and I decided not to waste a perfect opportunity to visit the Met in order to pick the pieces we would have to write our final papers in Art History on.

I chose this baby!

This was our favorite piece from the whole day.

More silly photos.

Then we made our way to Mid Town, using public transit this time, thank gosh, in order to see our show. First we stopped at Magnolia so Maddie could bring home some cupcakes to her family, and I just couldn't say no to buying just one! It was yummy!

I met Alicia and Nicole at the City Center, where the show was playing.

The show we saw was called Metamorphosis. We bought the tickets for $10 through the Honors College, so we didn't really know what to expect. It turned out to be a beautiful, contemporary ballet show with absolutely wonderful music. It was mostly piano, which I love. When I went into the lobby after the show I was disappointed to see that they weren't selling a CD of the music!!

We ate a little diner for dinner and when walking back to Penn Nicole and Alicia decided to be very touristy by making me take this picture.

They had a backpack and pillow case with "TIPS!" sprawled across them.

Then on the train ride home Nicole and Alicia were making fun of my love of Michael Buble, and singing really old songs like "My Band", which I had never even heard of.

It was a great day.

Your art piece looks very complicated. I have heard that Metamorphosis is great, sounds like you enjoyed it. I can imagine that it might have been soothing expecially with the piano music.

What kind of cupcake did you get, Pumpkin? We need all of the details! We are counting on you to really bring us the NYC experience.

Michael Buble is awesome! Smooth and Romantic - a real crooner.
